2. What data we collect
We collect information you give us directly, information generated by your use of the service, and in some cases, information from third parties.
Information you provide
- Account registration details: name, email address, date of birth, gender, and password.
- Profile information: photos, a short bio, and any optional details such as interests or relationship preferences.
- Messages and communications you send through the platform.
- Payment information if you subscribe to a paid plan. Payments are processed by a third-party provider; we do not store full card numbers.
- Any correspondence you send to our support team.
Information collected automatically
- Device and browser information, including IP address, operating system, and browser type.
- Usage data, such as pages viewed, features used, and session duration.
- Approximate location derived from IP address. If you grant permission, we may also use more precise location data from your device to show you nearby members.
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies. See Section 7 for details.
Information from third parties
If you register or sign in using a third-party service (such as Google or Apple), we receive basic profile information from that provider in accordance with your authorisation.
3. How we use your data
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account, and provide the core Ramixa service.
- Show your profile to, and show other profiles to you, based on location and preferences.
- Deliver messages and notifications within the platform.
- Process subscription payments and manage billing.
- Monitor for and take action against prohibited conduct, including the creation of fake accounts, harassment, and content that violates our Terms of Use.
- Improve and develop the platform through analysis of aggregated, anonymised usage data.
- Send transactional communications, such as account confirmation and password reset emails.
- Send service or promotional communications where you have opted in to receive them. You can opt out at any time.
- Comply with our legal obligations.
4. Legal basis for processing (UK and EEA users)
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract: Processing necessary to provide the service you signed up for, including account management, profile display, and messaging.
- Legitimate interests: Fraud prevention, platform security, improving the service, and direct marketing to existing users (you can opt out at any time).

- Legal requirements: We may disclose data when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Ramixa, our users, or others.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
6. Data retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active, or as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for longer under applicable law (for example, for billing records or to resolve outstanding disputes).
Messages you send to other users may remain visible to those users in their message history even after you delete your account. We encourage you to delete conversations you do not wish to retain before closing your account.
7. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how people use the service. We use the following categories of cookies:
- Strictly necessary cookies: Required for the platform to function. These cannot be disabled.

10. Children
Ramixa is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a person under 18 has created an account, we will delete that account and any associated data as quickly as possible. 11. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), hashed password storage, and access controls limiting who within our organisation can access personal data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice on the platform before the change takes effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when the most recent changes were made. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
